2021 NStat Safety & Justice Working Group

Working Group Home | Economic Stability | Health & Wellbeing | Physical Space | Safety & Justice

For years MAP residents have prioritized Safety and Justice in their communities. From February to May 2021, we will develop an Action Agenda that offers concrete solutions in three areas: Crime & Gun Violence, Community Responses to Social and/or Public Health Issues, and Community-Police Relations. This working group developed the following vision statement to guide our efforts. “We envision a future where safety and justice is equitable, culturally sensitive, restorative, joyful, and inclusive; safety and justice is community-based and responsive to the needs of everyone who lives there especially those who are closest to these issues, disenfranchised, formerly incarcerated, and traditionally not well represented.”
