Nas’s Toy Giveaway

Queensbridge Houses 

In December 2018, PSA 9 NCO’s Matthews and Gabriel collaborated with the Mayor’s Action Plan partners and Jacob Riis Community Center for the Queensbridge annual toy giveaway sponsored by rapper Nas.

Nas, or Nasir Jones, is a former Queensbridge resident. Every year hundreds of children from the development and larger community receive gift donations for the holidays. The NCO’s helped return smiling faces to a Queensbridge family who was in mourning after their eighth month old son succumbed to the flu.  The NCO’s made a special effort to ensure the boy’s siblings attended the event and received gifts.
